Town Hall Meetings A Chance To Voice Anger At Mayor

Thursday, September 03, 2015 at 06:30 PM
Wright College in Chicago, IL

Mayor Emanuel has never been fond of listening to the public but due to mounting pressure over the city's finances, his office has scheduled three town halls. We want as many Republicans as possible to show up and let the Mayor know that his tax and spend policies are not getting us anywhere. Everywhere you look it is the hard working taxpayer getting nickle-and-dimed to pay for his mistakes. According to his office, the mayor, his cabinet members and his finance team will be at each town hall meeting.

Here are the dates and locations of the meetings, which each begin at 6:30 p.m.:

* Monday, August 31: Malcolm X College, 1900 West Van Buren St.
* Wednesday, September 2: South Shore Cultural Center, 7059 South South Shore Drive
* Thursday, September 3: Wright College, 4300 North Narragansett Ave.

Doors will open for the meetings at 5:30 p.m.

Emanuel will release his 2016 budget proposal on September 22.
