As a life-long resident of Skokie, my family has a long history of public service and commitment to the citizens of the 16th District. I have embraced that history and want to serve as your representative in the Illinois House. Every day I work with people to help plan their retirements and stretch their savings to accomplish life goals—buy a home, send children to college, maintain their lifestyle throughout retirement—so I understand how important it is to ensure that the residents of Illinois, especially those in District 16, can hope for, and live, the American Dream.

Through involvement in sports and running a business, I developed the leadership skills necessary to make a difference in Springfield. Early on, I learned the value of team work through involvement in athletics while attending Niles West High School where I played a number of sports; football, wrestling, diving and volleyball. In college, I became interested in rugby where I played in the Premier Rugby League. I later had the opportunity to coach the UIC Women’s Rugby team allowing me to take my leadership and organizational skills to a new level.

As I moved into my professional life, I had the wonderful opportunity to work with my family to build businesses. Starting with my mother in the real estate business, I helped grow our agency to ultimately earn the title Top Producers with Prudential Preferred Properties. Using the entrepreneurial and administrative skills learned in real estate, I later joined my father and brother in the financial services industry where we work with hard working people to plan their retirements.

Through both the real estate and financial services industries, I have learned firsthand how uncertainty can impact people’s lives. My priority as your Representative in Springfield will be to restore Illinois to its rightful place as a state businesses want to operate and people want to live. I will work hard to create a business friendly environment. This starts with reforming the pension systems so that residents are not shouldering a large and uncertain burden and ending the corruption Illinois has become so famous for. Working together, we can restore the dignity of Illinois and make this a great place to build a business and raise your family.
