Born and raised in Chicago, Stefanie has called its quaint neighborhoods home for much of her life. She currently lives in Old Town on the Near North Side with her fiance Ian and their black Labrador named Utah.
Stefanie earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana, as well as a Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School. She currently practices law at a local firm in Chicago, defending clients’ most fundamental constitutional rights.
In addition to her professional career, Stefanie is a board member of the Independent Attorneys of Illinois Association, a support network for lawyers seeking to build their own law firms, and an active member of a Chicago women's organization focused on empowering at-risk families.
Stefanie is also a board member for the Chicago Family Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Police, and a tutor with the Tutoring Chicago Program focused on providing much needed services to students from economically disadvantaged families on the Near North and West Side.
Frustrated with the current status of Illinois, and concerned for the future of her home state, Stefanie hopes to challenge the status quo and restore fiscal responsibility by promoting greater government efficiency and eliminating wasteful spending.
