Scott Brown: Whatever Happens in Massachusetts Won't Stay There! Illinois Is Next...Posted by: Lumi Boldovici on Jan 19, 2010 Tagged in: Untagged

Regardless, of the outcome of today's contest for Ted Kennedy's senate seat, the result is going to be a win-win situation for republicans nationwide. It will demonstrate and testify to the fact that even the predominantly democratic electorate in the Democratic Republic of Massachusetts opposes the radical Obama-Pelosi- Reid agenda.
A loud and crystal clear message against health care and the constant warfare that this administration is undertaking to reorient the social, political, economic structure of this country. And as my favorite political analyst Dick Morris has said: "But, beyond that, the prospects of getting 60 votes on the remaining items in Obama’s legislative agenda: cap and trade, union card check, and immigration reform would slip away with the Massachusetts result."
Considering the fact that this seat was held for more than four decades by Ted Kennedy. This contest was supposed to be a coronation, not an election. Coakly's arrogance towards the electorate is not helpful either. According to a merger between four different polls Fox News reported on Monday-- Brown 51% and Coakly 44%. But, 24 hours in politics is a lot!
It is a historical irony , maybe divine justice that Scott Brown (if he wins) will be a significant obstacle in the passing of the healthcare bill. A bill that Ted Kennedy would have immortilized form his position in the Senate's health care committe. A position that proved extremely lucrative for the Kennedy family, especially Ted Kennedy's son who is in the business of advising lobbysts by providing them with invaluble advice about healthcare trends. In exchange for monetary consideration. You know, "ask not what you can do for your country, but what your country can do for you..."
Whatever, the point is that democrats are bleeding votes, political capital and most importantly are facing reelections. Smart ones like Chris Dodd are retiring and hopefully Reid will take heed. It looks like popular discontent is as high as it was during the American Revolution against King George's "Intolerable Acts" that immortalized the slogan "no taxation without representation" the rest of the story everyone knows ...
It kind of feels the same way right now. Invoking a mandate from heavan to pass the healthcare bill is not justifiable policy. The voice of the people spoke loud and clear especially through the medium of the TEA Party movement . We are definitley not represented in Congress! And those not representing the will of the American people need to find another job.
King George had an excuse for passing those acts -he was literally insane. The democratic pary is following the same path. The result will be political suicide. The right time for Republicans is right now!. Americans will not tolerate this administration's assault on their individual liberties and freedom of choice. The government needs to represent the will of the people and not the other way around!
Scott Brown's quest for the senate seat in Massachussetts has generated lots of excitement and positively energized the electorate. It is like the democtratic electorate found out that Mr. Right lived right next door and he is a Republican.
Meanwhile, in Illinois the Republican party has an excellent candidate for the people's vacant seat formerly held by Barack Obama -- Mark Kirk. Definitley, the momentum so far favors Kirk, as I anticipated in a previous article, Kirk is a formidable candidate and he can win. And so can Scott Brown , providing that the deceased won't vote in Massachusetts !
