Indeed, as Thomas Jefferson stated: "...all power is inherited in the people...It is their right and duty to be at all times armed".
Gun control is a clear and precarious violation of the second amendement. The "Bill of Rights" were designed to protect and empower the individual with freedom and bestowed upon Americans the kind of individual rights that are part responsible for the greatness of this country.
Socialism and communism on the other hand does not give a damn about individual rights and personal freedom. But values collectivity and the collective good verses personal good. This is tyrannical and anti democratic. Democracy cannot be preserved if the government stampedes on individual liberties.
The essence of democracy and freedom rests with the personal freedom of individual, group and herd identity politics are extremely undemocratic and dangerous. Just as in the economic sector it is essential for free market to determine winners or loosers and NOT the GOVERNMENT. It is imperative for the BILL OF RIGHTS to stand and protect our individual freedoms.
