Good News! Dollar is Up, Euro is Down!Let's Go To Greece This Summer!!!!!!!!

As, Rahm Emmanuel wisely said : "never let a serious crisis go to waste"!

The debt crisis in Greece definitely brought down the Euro and this will not be the end of it. Portugal, Ireland,Italy and Spain also known as PIIGS are not in great economic shape either. The welfare state is partially responsible for this economic chaos. But another factor is the "economic equalization factor" which is complete non-sense.  How can Poland , Romania & Bulgaria be compared to the economic power of Germany and France? It will take these countries decades to catch up with the west after being under the atrocious centralized economic communist system.

I  am a great fan of Europe, but not a great fan of the European Union.  From personal experience I can tell you what it has done to Greece and Romania.

Greece in the 90's  was a fantastic place for vacation a few thousand dollars could work wonders. Past year,  my friends needed to spend thousands of dollars staying with relatives and excluding gifts . This is not acceptable.

Besides, I miss the drachma portraying Alexander the Great and Pericles. The Euro is a false currency that has no national and economic value. The European Union should have been as it was originally designed a common market with limited political attributes.

Globalization is a wonderful thing but is should not be confused with undermining national, political and economic sovereignty.  For, what is good for Germany is not good for Greece.

In Romania also a member of the European Union since 2007 the most common wage is about three hundred dollars per month. A kilogram of tomatoes in Bucharest was $30 and a liter of milk $5 past winter. Currently, there is a serious economic crisis in Romania, worse than the one in Greece. The government solution to the economic crisis was to reduce pensions by 25%. This Draconian measure sparked nation wide protests  and it does not look good at all.  Romania is supposed to join the Euro zone by 2015, grave mistake.

At least the British are insightful not to renounce their currency.

So, when Arizona enacts a law dealing with its own problems, obviously Arizona that borders Mexico has a different immigration problem than Montana which borders Canada. Actors , schools and beauty pageants have no business in interfering with a matter of national security as serious as this. What is good for Montana is not good for Arizona. That is why state's rights are sacred as long as they are in compliance with the Constitution. I do not really care if Arnold goes back to Austria...

What  I do care about is undocumented people running around United States  not knowing if they are connected with unfriendly regimes that do not have our best interest at heart.

The left's politization of national security needs to stop immediatley.

Going back to my beloved Greece. Do not be afraid of the incorrect myth propagated by Roman poet Virgil "beware of Greeks that bear gifts"...   Greece is a wonderfull place, prices this summer are great. Take this opportunity to visit the land of Aphrodite where beauty is eternal and love never ends...

The Euro has turned against Greece. It forces them to face fiscal reality, and they can't devalue it to help solve things. But there is no alternative. Going back to the Drachma would collape the Greek economy entirely due to a worthless currency.

I don't like most Greeks. They seem to be a nation of thieves, cowards, and cheats. And everything I have seen in Illinois seems to confirm this opinion.

Dear El Greco, I miss the drachma from a cultural and numismatic point of view. This is my personal opinion and it's irrelevant to the Euro's value. It's like replacing the dollar with the Amero and eliminate George Washington , Franklin and Grant ...

Dear "El Conservativo" , I think you are confusing the Greeks with the Illinois Democratic party!
