| As Mark Kirk stated in last's week victory speech: "one party does not have all the answers, and it cannot rule alone". If it does, this presents a severe threat to the balance of our current political system. In Illinois , as well as Washington (since the 2006 ) election the democtrats have succeded in dominatig the political spectrum. Consequently, we experience a serious political imbalance that gives the democrats the tools to pass legislation without correct constituent representation. Scott Brown's election set the precedent for Republican win anywhere. If Brown won in the Democratic R of Massachussetts, any good Republican canditate can win anywhere. If republican win 8 0r 10 seats in the upcoming election . They will have the majority at the national level to make significant reforms here is a chart of the upcoming elections: In these eight races, the Republicans are ahead:
And, in these two states, the results are close:
A republican victory is essential for the resoration of a political system that is balnced and represents the will and best interest of the people. It was degrading and unconstitutional how the democrats endeavored to pass the health (behind close doors) care legislation without the predominat support and advise of the constituents. Representative democracy means that government derives its consent from the governed. Locally, here in Illinois at the state as well as City level we have seen the results of one party rule:the highest taxes in the nation, Illinois ranks as the 48th state in job creation, and worse off we are bleeding demographically more than half a millinon people have moved out. Talking to real people, and not following some abstract statistical results it is evident that people are not doing well economically. This election will be about job creation and restoration of an economic balance. Rethoric is so Obama 2008! Reform & Jobs ,that is what people need! |
