This from the July 4, 2011 Chicago Tribune’s webpage: It reports that Socialist DSK may now run for president of France since the assault case against him seems to be falling apart. That’s fine, in general terms, but this last, almost throwaway line from the article.
“Socialist Party leader Martine Aubry says a July 13 deadline for candidates to register in the party primary could be pushed back if Strauss-Kahn wants a chance to run against conservative President Nicolas Sarkozy.”
So, Socialists are willing to change rules to their own advantage at will? What’s the point of having election law? Do we need any more that Socialists don’t play fair?
