Was doing some research on the State Central Committee and discovered there are a bunch of State Central Committee "Deputy" positions. What is the point of having State Central Committee Deputies? Do State Central Committee Deputies get to vote? How are they "deputized"? Elected? Selected?

They need to be of the opposite sex of the State Central Commiteeman and vote in the absence of the SCC. Occasionally, a SCC has a conflict and can not attend a meeting of the Illinois GOP, the Deputy SCC attends in their place.

Are deputies elected or selected by the SCC?

The State Central Committeeman selects their own Deputy. It is someone they need to trust to vote with them.

Here's another PITA question. When (and how often) are State Central Committeemen voted on? Are these elections every 2 years? Every 4?
