Fellow Business Executives:

As the CFO of this business that employs 140 people, I have resigned
myself to the fact that Barrack Obama will be our next President, and
that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way.

To compensate for these increases, I figure that the Clients will have to
see an increase in our fees to them of about 8% but since we cannot
increase our fees right now due to the dismal state of our economy, we
will have to lay off six of our employees instead. This has really been
eating at me for a while, as we believe we are family here and I didn't
know how to choose who will have to go.

So, this is what I did. I strolled thru our parking lot and found 8 Obama
bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks
will be the first to be laid off. I can't think of a more fair way to approach
this problem. These folks wanted change; I gave it to them.

If you have a better idea, let me know.

I got this the day before the election when it said he'd "probably" be our next president. I sent it out to my liberal relatives.
They each asked me to remove their names from my list.

The "don't confuse me with the facts I've made up my mind" mentality of libs is astonishing.

I mean... It's only "fair" right?

I do have a better idea. Start by looking at all of your business activities, such as number of copies made, phone calls, water dispensers, etc. review what you and your managers make an take an 8% reduction in wages, options, etc.. Every person you lay off affects scores or hundreds of others. DOn't take the easy way out. Teddy Roosevelt in his biography was tremendously concerned that as the upper class got wealthier, the middle class began to thin out, and the poor began to increase in munbers. He was afraid that if this continued that we'd eventually see class warfare or revolution. We cnanot continue to lay off people and not feel the pain and hurt ourselves. In your case, you took it out on Obama supporters, but they are still Americans who have the right to their opinion, whether you agree with them or not.Abraham Lincoln said it best, " a house devided cannot stand"!!!

If we don't have compassion and unsselfishness, which is part of the Judeo/CHristian ehtic, we'll have to pay up sooner or later. This is why Teddy Roosevelt went after the trusts (his days versions of big business) You can't build a house without a solid foundation and if we continue to bailout Wall Street and not take care of Main Street, then all we are building is a house of cards, which will eventually callapse. You need a solid foundation to build upon.

History will and does repeat itself. We must become more populace, more compassionate, think with creativively(isn't this what made us a great country?), and make sure that our government is of the people, for the people, and by the people!!

Teddy, You are a wise man. Like Tom, I too wanted the Obama Supporters to get EXACTLY what they asked for, but if they do, it hurts all of us. As a party, our message has to be INCLUSIVE. We need to find issues that resonate with 80% (not 50%), if we are to get a 51% vote.
