The Chicago Republican Party's vision is that black Americans will seize control over their own destiny and move into our ownership society through small business and home ownership. The traditional values of the black community are the core values of the Republican Party: strong families, faith in God, personal responsibility, quality education, and equal opportunities for all.
The goal of the Republican Party is to return black Americans to their Republican Party roots by enlightening them about how Republicans fought for their freedom and civil rights, and are now fighting for their educational and economic advancement.
The objective of the Chicago Republican Party is to conduct a grassroots educational campaign in black communities; champion school choice opportunity scholarships to give black parents educational options and access to a quality education for their children; and provide training and resources for grassroots activists and candidates for elected office.

The following series, Then and Now, is a set of commentaries which discuss the past and present role the Republican party has played in various civil rights topics. They are designed to introduce, educate, and invite African Americans into the Republican party. |
